have one court in a church hall with high ceilings - there are no 'lets',
and 'faults' occur very infrequently. The hall has been upgraded in
recent months and we now have off-court side lighting and blue walls at either
end of the court. There
is a kitchen and toilets but no facilities for changing or showering at
address for the church hall is: Glasgow Terrace, Off Lupus Street,
Pimlico, London SW1V 3AA. The hall is around a 5 minute walk from Pimlico
tube station in zone 1.
Getting to us:
From Pimlico tube:
The barriers are immediately at the top of the escalator and as soon as you are through you have the choice of two exit’s. The one one the left signed “Rampayne Street” is to be ignored. So go straight ahead up the steps. This is the “Bessborough Street” exit. Just at the top of the steps you can turn left for “Bessborough St North and the Tate Modern” not this way. So you have to turn right to “Bessborough St. South". Walk along the passageway it opens out and goes up an incline. You are now in fact going in the correct direction for St. Gabriel’s Hall. When you get to the top of the incline you have to turn left up a short flight of steps so just turn right at the top to get you back on track. The first thing you see is “The Gallery” Pub and across the road you can see the street name “Lupus Street" confirming the you are going the right way but no need to cross. Walk past St. Georges Square and the Church. Then you pass a low glass fronted building which is the “Pimlico Academy”. As you get to the traffic lights at Claverton Street you can see a block of flats on the same side of the road with shops underneath. There are three of these blocks. Walk past the first two the third block has a lower concrete building just before it and is set back a bit from the road also it has no shops. The last shop at the end of the second block is “Pimlico Toy Library”. Turn immediately left in to the service road which has a gate across it. You can see St. Gabriels Hall on the right. Go to the double blue doors. The left door has a key entry, use the big button at the bottom to get somebody’s attention. When you get in go up the stairs to the first level and through the glass panelled doors.
Ample room to park either on Lupus Street, where Lupus Street meets Sutherland Street, on the single yellow line or metered bays after 6.30pm as there are no restrictions during that time. Weekends have no parking restrictions either.
